Standing in Matlock today, with it’s imposing Victorian and Edwardian buildings, it can be hard to imagine what life was like before the town expanded rapidly following the arrival of the railway. However, there some artifacts that remind us of Matlock’s prehistoric past.
This bronze spearhead was discovered in the Matlock area. It was made around 3,000 years ago during the late bronze age.
